Amanta G. Wallace, 74 answered the Master's call and transitioned to her new home on January 11, 2013. She was born on June 17, 1938 in Bay Minette, AL, the daughter of Eddie and Essie Goodlett Sr. She was united in marriage to Warner R. Wallace on May 23, 1955 in Ocean Springs, MS. He preceded her in death on December 11, 2006. Amanta was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Warner R. Wallace and her grandson, Ennis L. Wallace, Jr. and her sister, Leola Horace. Amanta leaves to treasure her blessed memories her faithful and devoted children; one daughter: Joie A. Wallace of Hampton, VA and four sons: Ennis L. Wallace of Stone County, MS; Roger A. (Gwendolyn) Wallace of Hattiesburg, MS; Oliver (Damari) Wallace of Fort Riley, MO and Greg Curry of Gulfport, MS; two sisters: Mildred Raspberry of Milton FL and Marion Ray of Huntsville, AL; four brothers: Eddie Goodlett, Jr. of Ocean Springs, MS; James Ennis Goodlett Sr. of Jackson, MS and Edward Allen Goodlett of Chicago, IL. Additionally she is survived by fourteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and will be missed by a host of nieces, nephews, close family and caring friends. A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Macedonia Baptist Church, 11702 Dr. Jesse L. Trotter Blvd, Ocean Springs, MS. with the Reverend Lasonya T. Debose of St. James United Methodist officiating. Viewing will be 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM on the morning of the service. Burial will follow at Monroe Memorial Park, Gulfport, MS. Professional services entrusted to the staff of RICHMOND-AUGUST FUNERAL HOME.
