Antonio Demond Sheffield, age 37, of Biloxi, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 17, 2013. Antonio was born in Gulfport, MS to Gladys Bowens and the late Johnnie Sheffield. He was known for his charismatic smile and devotion to family. He was very devoted to being a great father, son and brother. Antonio will be remembered for his wit, intellect, and pure heart. He was very proud of his many skills and accomplishments. To name a few, �Tony� received his Certification of Small/Engine Repair, Journeyman�s Certification, and Facility Maintenance Certification. He coined the phrase �See sis/bro, my plan is my plan, your plan is your plan, but let�s stick to my plan.� He was preceded in death by his father, Johnnie Sheffield; grandmother, Clemis Avery; grandfather, Willie Jake Avery; brother, Derrick Lindsey and cousin, Vanessa Wells. Although we weep, we know God made no mistake in his taking a precious jewel from our lives. He is survived by his mother Gladys Bowens (Demetrius); children, D'Assia Grubbs, Andrea and Andrew Sheffield; brothers, Tito Avery (Dana), Roderick Lenard (Jennifer) Aaron Moore; sisters, Maya Avery-Jenkins (Jamey), Katrina Hopson, Denise Durgins, Juanita Sheffield and Tammy Stuart; five nieces, Rihanah, Mariah, Majoiri, Ajah, and Alana; four nephews, Justin, Jalin, TJ, and Landon; and a host of special aunts, uncles, and cousins. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 23, 2013, at Greater Grace Apostolic Assembly, 394 Forrest Avenue in Biloxi, MS 39530 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. Greater Grace with visitation one hour before. Burial will follow at Monroe Memorial Park in Gulfport, MS. The repast will be held at Westside Community Center, 4006 8th St., Gulfport, MS, from 3:30-6:30. The family of Mr. Antonio D.
