Barbara Ann Curney was born September 25, 1956 in Prentiss, Mississippi to Annie L. Hill and A.C. Curney. She left this earth to be with the Lord early Tuesday morning on August 25, 2015 surrounded by family and love ones. She was the oldest of her siblings. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Julius and Corene Bridges, paternal grandparents Allen and Erma Curney, a very special step-father Mathew Hill and brother Charles Merity. She leaves to mourn: her mother, Annie L. Hill; father, A. C. Kerney; sister: Patricia Sneed (Alton) of Stockbride, GA; Nadine Thompson of Biloxi, MS; Marietta Thompson (Brian) of Stockbridge, GA; Yolanda Martin (Stanley) of Mobile, AL; Carla Galbraith (Scott) of Sacramento, CA; April Adams of Detroit, MI; Latunya Walton of Biloxi, MS; Jonika Walton of Biloxi, MS; Telorise Hill of Columbus, MS; Quenisha Bell of Irvington, TX; Brothers: Willie Walton Jr. (Brenda) of Biloxi, MS; A. C. Kerney, Jr. (Angel) of Mobile, AL; Ricky Curry (Sarah) of VA; David Allen of Mobile, AL; and Christopher Hunter of Detroit, MI; Anthony Walton of El Paso, TX; Clifford Walton of Biloxi, MS; and Mathew Hill, Jr. of Columbus, MS; uncle, aunts and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and loved ones. Barbara Ann Curney, although she couldn�t speak, knew the Lord. She laughed out loud and moved to Gospel music; her favorite was quartet singing. Barbara Ann was bound by life�s shackles; however, she was always happy and felt loved. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and cared for her. Services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, August 29, 2015 at China Lee Missionary Baptist Church with visitation one hour before. Those unable to attend Saturday's service are invited to a public viewing Friday, August 28, 2015 at Richmond-August Funeral Home. The family of Miss.
