Bessie Ann Lewis

Bessie Ann Cumbaa Lewis, 53, a resident of Chalmette, LA, passed away on September 21, 2023. She was born in New Orleans, LA. The daughter of Thomas Harold Cumbaa Sr. and Elizabeth Ann Wright Cumbaa. Bessie's Companion of 28 years was Robert Britton.

Bessie was preceded in death by her mother Elizabeth Cumbaa, her father Thomas Cumbaa Sr., Her sister Mary Cumbaa, her brother Roger Cumbaa, and her granddaughter Karsin Thompson.

Bessie is survived by her Companion Robert Britton, Her Brothers Thomas Cumbaa Jr. and Richard Cumbaa, Tommy Cumbaa her sister Maggie Taylor and Daisy Cumbaa, her four children John Lewis, Pamela Cuevas, Rickey Cumbaa, Gary Musgrave, her Son-in-law Will Cuevas, Daughter-in-laws Alex Cumbaa, Bridget Lewis, Brittany Serigne. 

She had twelve grandkids: Austin, Kaden, Star, Dreux, Ollie, David, Joseph, Braelynn, Stella, Faith, Remington, and Rowen.

Funeral Services for Bessie Lewis will be held on October 6, 2023, from 10:00 A.M. till 12:00 P.M. Gulf Coast Free Will Baptist Church located at 13040 Three Rivers Rd Gulfport, MS 39503. Bessie's final resting place will be at Finley Cemetery, located at 19424 Highway 53 Lyman, MS 39503.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 6, 2023, at Free Will Baptist Church, at 11:00 am.  Visitation will start at 10:00 am.
