Beverly A McCullom

Beverly Ann McCullom was born on August 10, 1959 to Genevia and Joe McCullom in Gulfport, Mississippi. She was the seventh of fifteen siblings. Beverly graduated from Harrison Central High School where she excelled in basketball. She then lived in Texas, Oregon, and North Carolina before settling in Columbus, Ohio in 1988. She was blessed with five children and fifteen grandchildren. Beverly made a huge impact on the lives of every person she encountered. Her presence alone brightened every room she entered, and the sound of her southern dialect would bring a smile to everyone’s face. Beverly was a world traveler and avid sports fan—she loved watching The Ohio State University Buckeyes and wrestling. She also had a great sense of humor and often made jokes and played games on her tablet. But above all things, Beverly was the best mother, an outstanding grandmother, a loving sister, and a wonderful friend! She absolutely loved spending time with her close ones. Even during her sickness, Beverly still managed to cook holiday dinners and walk around the house singing Christmas songs. She was such a fighter and had very strong faith; Beverly read her bible aloud every day. She was truly an amazing woman with a kind heart, who will deeply be missed by all who knew her. Beverly transitioned to her final resting place on January 4, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents Genevia and Joe, sister Janice, and brother Aaron. Beverly is survived by her five loving children Diane D. (Juan), Bertha M., Mary L. (LaShawnn), Janice R., and Ernest J. who she affectionately called Little E.; 15 grandchildren Diamond, Crystal, LaShawnn, Shay’ona, MarShawnn, Shawnni, Cherish, Ey’ona, Karter, Ernez, Abou, Bella, Kyrie, Jermaine, and Juan Jr.; 12 siblings Gloria, twin Dianne, Mamie (Leo) LaCour, Mary (Anthony), Bertha (Terence) Stapleton; Alexander, TommyLee, Robert (Florence Renee), Percy (Toya), Joe (Sandra), Michael, and Joseph (Donna); and a host of other cherished relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held in private. Infinity Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Beverly McCullom. For inquiries, please call at 228-436-6722.
