Bonzale Clark

Mr. Bonzale Clark, was born August 6, 1952 in Detroit, Michigan as the eldest of two sons from the union of Maggie Mae and Jesse Clark, whom his father preceded him in death. He loved his mom and brother Tommie Lee dearly. Bonzale received his education within the Detroit Public School System, graduating from Pershing High School in 1970. Then went on to study Machinery and Culinary Arts at Oakland Community College. Bonzale was known by many as “Clark”. He enjoyed the comradery of his coworkers as a dedicated employee who never missed a day in 24 years at General Motors. He later retired from American Axle after 10 years of service. In his spare time, he enjoyed running, watching Judge Judy, game shows, and sports. Additionally, he took pride in his GM cars, loved joking with his grandkids and had a strong passion for bowling. At an early age Bonzale confessed his faith in Jesus Christ at Church of Our Father Baptist; where he married his wife, and raised his family. He served as a faithful trustee and driver of the Transportation Ministry until his relocation to Biloxi, Mississippi in 2010. Upon arrival to Biloxi he joined First Missionary and enjoyed singing in the male choir. At the time of his transition, he was a member of Sola Church of Gulfport. Bonzale married his high school sweetheart Ardeania(Nell), who he affectionately called “Love”. They shared over 45 endearing years together and enjoyed traveling, shopping, playing cards, spending time with family and friends. One of the things that he appreciated most was how well she cared for him. He often bragged on “his Baby.” He would say “my Baby takes good care of me” referring to her countless hours of unconditional love and especially her devotion during his illness. He treasured the example she set for their girls of a godly wife committed to her vows. The epitome of dedication, loyalty, dependability and patience. To God be the glory from this union was born two beautiful highly successful daughters, Dedra and Tonya, “his other babies.” Family was important to Bonzale. He set the standard high as a loving father and husband, which is now honored by his sons (Rudy and Blake) in marriage. His eight grandchildren fondly remember him singing Temptations, dropping them off at Vacation Bible School, enjoying Paczki Day, making them laugh, dancing, and responding with his favorite phrase “Seven” to any question they had. No matter what, each one of them knew they had a special place in his heart and he was extremely proud of them all. He departed from his family on April 18, 2018 and was called from labor to rest in peace. He leaves to cherished memories to his beloved wife, Ardeania (Nell) Clark, two daughters and two son-in-law’s; Dedra and Rudy Hobbs (Michigan), Tonya and Blake Henderson (Mississippi); his eight grandchildren Amber, Alexis, and Amyre Hobbs, Mario, Blake II, Brooklynn, Bailey and Benjamin Henderson; his mother, Maggie; his brother, Tommie; his aunt, Mary; his brother-in-law, Eddie, who preceded him in death; his sister in law, Satira; also to cherish Rose, Cedric, Jenny; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. The care of Mr. Bonzale Clak has been entrusted to RICHMOND-AUGUST FUNERAL HOME. Inquiries: 228-436-6722.
