Brenda Joyce Taylor, age 66, a resident of D’Iberville, passed away on January 13, 2021. She was born in Biloxi, MS, May 22, 1954, the daughter of Raleigh Sr. and Amie Fox.
Brenda was an assistant teacher at Harrison Central Elementary, followed by slot supervisor at Boomtown Casino before becoming legally blind. However, this did not hinder her from playing an active role in her family’s life. She could often be found playing the penny slots at her beloved Boomtown Casino or playing bingo at the senior center. Her other pastimes included calling “Taylor” across the yard to get her beloved husband’s attention, reminding her daughters that she brought them into this world and she would take them out if need be, and of course, spoiling her first grandchild Brent.
Brenda was preceded in death by her parents Raleigh and Amie Fox; her sister, Mary Fox.
Brenda is survived by her loving husband of 38 years; Bo Taylor; two daughters Jessica (Judson) Necaise, Krystal (Joe Allen) Taylor; her brother Raleigh Jr (Donna) Fox; three sisters, Sue (Harold) Fletcher, Lenda (Kerry) Seymour, Ann Fox; four grandchildren Brent Simpson, Emma Necaise, Angeliah and Sophia Allen.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Biloxi City Cemetery for 12:00 P.M. Interment will follow.
