He attended Sherman Hill School in Lake, MS and after the family relocated to Turkey Creek he attended Turkey Creek Consolidated School and received his diploma from North Gulfport High School, Gulfport, MS where he played basketball. He worked at Atlas Van Lines, Bassett Furniture, and operated a Lawn Care Service. He loved working outside at home and at his home church, Mt. Pleasant, where he was also the groundskeeper.
Charlie Frank volunteered his time as a chauffeur, helping out at church, and just generally cheering people up. He enjoyed watching sports, playing dominoes, and cards, and attending the Isaiah Fredericks Senior Center, where he also enjoyed going on field trips.
