Clarence Aaron Edwards was born December 4, 1953 to his parents Charles and Muriel S. Edwards in Memphis Tennessee. He transitioned from his earthly home on December 4th 2020. He will be forever missed and loved. ‘What’s up Killa’, Clarence was an intelligent and athletic young man. He attended North Side High School where he was extremely competitive in athletics and academics. He was a member of the school basketball team and debate club and was active in ROTC. After graduation Clarence joined the Air Force where he served many years and received an honorable discharge for his service. He had been employed by the VA here in Biloxi for years where he had many good friends because he was a people person. His heart was set on retiring in January 2021 and he had plans to travel all over the world. Clarence moved to Biloxi, where he met the love of his life Jacqueline Cole Edwards. They got married in 2002 and enjoyed each other since, as soul mates. Clarence precedes his wife Jackie Edwards, brother Robert, ‘Valerie’ Edwards, Walter and ‘Queen’ Edwards, Kenneth Edwards, Gwendolyn Sykes, Jacqueline ‘James’ Matthew and Marguerita Edwards. He was preceded in death by sister Charlesetta Edwards, brother Maurice Sykes and his parents. He also leaves his children Anthony ‘Michelle’ Edwards, Terrence Edwards, John Banks, Terrance Banks Edwards, Valerie N. Edwards and Kevin Gardener. He leaves a host of nieces and nephew and Vernita Lewis ‘his favorite niece’, Charlotte Miller, Bruce ‘Jennifer’ Edwards, cousin, friends, his grand children and other relatives and a lot of co-workers from the VA hospital. ‘So be truly glad there is a wonderful joy ahead, even though you have to endure many trials for a little while’ - 1 Peter 1:6. Family and friends are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Edwards on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Infinity Funeral Home, 184 Main Street, Biloxi, MS 39530. Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m.; Pastor Paul Springer officiating. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
