Claude Yarborough

Claude Edward Yarborough was born July 31, 1940 in Tylertown, Mississippi to Claude Yarborough and Ollie Mae Causey Yarborough. Claude was united in marriage to Vervie Burnette and was blessed with two sons, Sammie and Jerry and two daughters, Cynthia and Claudette. Upon moving to Gulfport, Claude later met Helen Young his loving companion of over thirty-five years. Claude was a member of Morning Star Baptist Church. He was employed with Brewer Fence Company for over 25 years. He later started his own business, Yarborough Fence Company. Claude was a craftsman; he enjoyed fishing, yard work and barbecuing. He is preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Ollie Mae Yarborough; three brothers, John Earl, Walter and Willie Yarborough. Mr. Yarborough was called to eternal rest on December 30, 2012 at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport, MS. Those left to love and cherish his precious memories, a special loved one, his beloved Helen Young; three sons, Sammie Yarborough, Brookhaven, MS, Jerry Yarborough, Gulfport, MS and Glynn Young, Magee, MS; five daughters, Cynthia Yarborough (Norman) Redd, Houston, TX, Claudette Yarborough (Christopher) Harris, Tylertown, MS, Perita Roberts (Norman), Lynn Ferrill, Marketer Sandifer all of Gulfport, MS; three brothers, Edison (Pearlie) Yarborough, Brunswick, GA, Herman Yarborough, Columbus, GA and Lavelle (Debra) Brumfield, Laverne, CA; two sisters, Linda Yarborough and Shirley Yarborough of Gulfport, MS; two aunts, Ollie Mae Yarborough, Tylertown, MS and Hazel Yarborough, Gulfport, MS; twenty-one grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and a host family and friends. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 4, 2013 at 11 am at Richmond-August Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior. The family has entrusted the care of Mr. Yarborough to the professionalism of Richmond-August Funeral Home.
