Darlene D. (Moore) McCovery, 48, a resident of Gulfport, MS, passed away on Friday, May 26th, 2023, at her home from natural causes.

She was born in Biloxi, MS, on February 14th, 1975, the daughter of Albert and Shirley Mae Moore Jr. Darlene attended Murphy High School in Mobile, AL where she was involved in various clubs and organizations. She received her diploma as a part of the class of 1992. 

Darlene was married to Timothy Rae McCovery on June 14th, 1996. 

Darlene spent her working career in various customer service roles. She worked for Wal-Mart Stores in the Deli Department prepping, preparing, and serving until she could no longer work due to health issues. Darlene enjoyed spending time with her husband, children, family, and friends sharing love and creating laughs and memories. Her other pastimes were watching sports, especially football, and shopping. She was a dedicated fan of AUBRUN TIGERS and CAROLINA PANTHERS!
Darlene was preceded in death by her parents (Albert and Shirley Mae Moore Jr.); a brother (Albert Moore III); a grandchild (Aurora Treasure Rose Bettis); and both sets of grandparents (Paternal and Maternal); a brother-in-law (Albert Loper); a sister-in-law (Nancy Blackmon).

Darlene is survived by her husband, (Timothy Rae McCovery of Daphne, AL); mother and father in-law Mary (Marvin) Walton of Daphne, AL; (5) children, (3) devoted, Katlyn and Kaylaa Bettis of Mobile, AL), and Myles Gamble of Saraland, AL; (7) siblings (Brenda Wilkes of Slidell, LA, John Richardson, Rose Moore, Cathline Moore, Deborah Moore, James Moore, and Valene Moore all of Mobile, AL); (3) sisters-in-law, Tammy Moore of Mobile, AL; Shelia Johnson, and Odessa Walton both of Daphne, AL; a special friend (John Westbrook) of Pensacola, FL; a devoted best friend (Charmece Blaylock) of Biloxi, MS; devoted neighbor (Mrs.Sioex) of Gulfport, MS; a host of nieces/nephews, (4) ride or die, (Latrice Rucker of Laurel, MD, Joseph Caples II, Courtney Moore, Billy Moore all of Mobile, AL); and a host of other relatives and friends. 

Funeral services for Darlene D. (Moore) McCovery will be held Friday, June 16th, 2023, at 11:00 am and Infinity Funeral Home in Biloxi, MS.
