Dewey D. Reid

Dewey Daniel Reid, a beloved member of the community, has passed away at the age of 66. Born on June 24, 1957, in Biloxi, Mississippi, Dewey was the son of William Reid, Sr. and Edna Garlotte Reid Harris.

Dewey led a fulfilling life and made a significant impact on those around him. After graduating from D'Iberville High School, he pursued a career as a lens crafter at PFG Optics until he became disabled. 

While Dewey faced challenges in life due to his disability, he never let it dampen his spirit. Known for his affable nature, Dewey never met a stranger. His warm smile and approachable demeanor endeared him to countless friends and acquaintances over the years. Dewey had an incredible ability to put people at ease with his kindheartedness and compassionate nature.

Sadly, on December 2nd, 2023, Dewey Daniel Reid passed away in Moss Point, Mississippi. His loss is deeply mourned by those who had the privilege of knowing him closely. His family and friends grieve the void left by his absence but take solace in the beautiful memories they shared with Dewey.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, William Reid Jr and Arvey Lee Reid, as well his sister Pamela Reid Moffett.

Dewey leaves to cherish his memory, his loving son, Daniel Edward Reid, and his grandsons Tyler Reid and Logan Reid; his sisters Audrey (Curtis) Reid Harris and Wanda (Kenny) Reid Schnarrs, as well as his brother Edward (Beth) Lewis Reid.

To honor the life of Dewey Daniel Reid, memorial services will be held at Infinity Funeral Home, located at 184 Main Street in Biloxi, Mississippi. A Memorial Gathering will take place on December 11th, 2023, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a Memorial Service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

As we bid farewell to Dewey, let us celebrate the joy and laughter he brought into our lives and cherish the memories that will live on in our hearts.

In addition to his immediate family, Dewey is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
