Dianne Latrice Brumfield Sullivan, a native of Biloxi, MS went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 14, 2018. She was surrounded by her great-grandson whom she loved beyond measure, Khyler Jayce Brumfield. Dianne was born in Biloxi, MS to Mary Brumfield and Walter C. Lewis.
Dianne attended school in the Biloxi School System and she spent most of her working career in the home health care field. She worked for the Biloxi VA and also Nursing Management up until her health began to fail. Dianne was a faithful servant and a God-fearing member to the ministry of New Birth Reconciliation where her leaders were Apostle Rodney D. Beard and Senior Pastor Carol D. Beard. Her love for Christ, her leaders, and her church family were undeniable. She loved God and God’s people wholeheartedly. She was Senior Pastor’s first armor bearer and was devoted to her perspective position at that present time. She was given the title as one of the church’s mothers in the year of 2014, so to her church family she was known as “Mother Dianne.“ My grandmother was a true worshipper and her worship was one that I was in awe about. She truly believed that God was her light and her salvation. I have no doubt that she is in heaven with God and praising him for bringing her through her trials and tribulations.
Dianne was preceded in death by her parents Mary Brumfield and Walter C. Lewis, her brother Wayne Lewis, her favorite cousin Sherry Ann Hamilton, and her lifelong friend Ronald Lewis.
She leaves to cherish a lifelong case of memories with those whom she would do anything for: daughter Lakeitha D. Brumfield (Biloxi, MS), son and daughter-in-law, Rontia and Michelle Manuel (Gulfport, MS), devoted brother, Sandy T. Brumfield “Fatso” (Biloxi, MS), and sister Norma Lewis (Diberville, MS). She also leaves to cherish her grandchildren: devoted and oldest whom was her ray of sunshine Makayla A. Brumfield, little Bestfriend Khyler J. Brumfield, basketball star, Rontia C. Manuel Jr., diva Lexie Manuel, and princess Dianne Ricard-(Levi). Dianne was a precious jewel to her grandchildren. She was known as Granny to them and they loved her beyond words; an uncle: Saffield Lewis (Baton Rouge, LA); aunts: Inez Lowe Stewart (Tyler Town, MS), Betty James (Gulfport, MS ), and Houma Magee (New Orleans, LA); best friend of 13 years Charles Smith “Abe” and Mrs. Lena Mae Posey “Mama Pig.” Also, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Richmond August Funeral Home.
