Donald Paul Harrell, 54, succumbed to long term illness on Friday, April 12, 2013 at the VA Hospital in Biloxi, MS. Don lived a full life in the few years he was given. He spent an adventurous childhood in Ponchatoula, LA, traveled the world in the US Air Force, and had a civilian career as a jack-of-all trades who was most noted for his talent as a carpenter. He married his soul mate and childhood sweetheart, spending forty years of his life by her side. He loved Biloxi and spent much of his time gazing at the beach from his front yard swing. He was a dedicated husband, dad, paw paw, brother, and friend. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Elizabeth Harrell; his children Tara Harrell Duett (Jared),Shane Harrell (Kara Palmer), and Jason Harrell (Michelle); his grandchildren Jaydon Duett, Bruno Cantu, Mikaela Cantu, Erin Harrell, and Jason Harrell; his siblings and their families John Harrell (Rita), Evelyn Accardo, Larry Harrell (Barbara), and Danny Harrell (Peggy); and countless others who have adopted him as family through friendship. He is preceded in death by his parents Paul and Violet Harrell; his brother, Michael Harrell; and his sister, Judy O�Neal. The graveside service for Mr. Harrell will be held at the Biloxi National V.A. Cemetery, Friday, April 19, 2013 at 12:30pm. Following the service, will be a celebration of life reception at the Harrell home in Biloxi. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Biloxi First United Methodist Church with thanks for all they have done for the victims of Katrina.
