Dorothy Jean Bell

Dorothy “Dot” Jean Bell, 75, a resident of Gulfport, MS passed away, December 22, 2018, in Gulfport from a massive heart attack. Dorothy was born in Jones County, MS, July 9, 1943, the daughter of Onyx and Alean Posey. Dorothy spent her working career in Harrison County Public Schools working in the cafeteria Dot was preceded in death by; her parents; sister-in-law, Elnora Posey, and her granddaughter Dionne Sharai Bell James. Dot is survived by her brother Ellis Ray Posey and her four children: Donna, Daniel, Alexander, and Timothy; daughters-in-law: Sharon and Lisa; son-in-law, Leon; ten grandchildren: Latica, Yamicca, Drailand, April, Daniel Jr., Zsyriel, Noah, Timothy Jr., Jonathan, and Morgan. Others to cherish her memory are sixteen great-grandchildren, and her nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services for Dorothy Bell will be held Saturday, January 5th " at 11:00 at First Missionary Baptist Church Handsboro in Gulfport, Mississippi. The visitation is one hour prior to the service. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Richmond August Funeral Home.
