Dorothy Mae Johnson a resident of Pass Christian MS passed away at her home due to cancer. She was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on September 20th, 1924. She was the daughter of Willie Stewart & Rosa Belle Stewart.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Mianda Rodrigez. She leaves two daughters, Karen R. Curtis and Shelley A. Conway. She was married to Charles Everett Johnson up until his death in the year 2000.
Dorothy spent her working career in New Orleans, Chicago, and Mississippi, as a Housekeeper--She would babysit, cook, clean, and watch pets if needed.
Dot's hobbies were reading her romance novels, doing her crossword puzzles, watching soap operas, & listening to music. In her younger years, she also loved to cook. Dorothy loved to smoke cigarettes and play cards with friends with a warm cup of coffee. She loved to visit with her friends and family. she loved to cook fried fish, smothered chicken and rice, and gravy. she loved to cook, and She Loved to Eat!! Even When feeling bad She would Greet You with this Biggest Smile.
She spent many years, as a Mormon, and members of her church would come to visit her and pray with her. They loved her as if they were family.
She leaves to cherish her life her brother Otis. O. Stewart., Karen R. Curtis., Shelley A. Conway., Sherine C. Bates (Glenn) Karen NewKirk, Alsheena I. Govan (Jeramy)., Frank N. Curtis., Edwin Curtis., Grant E. Curtis (Debbie) Adrian B. Curtis., Joseph Ingram Jr., and a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 8, 2021, at 11:00 am at Infinity Chapel. Visitation will start at 10:00 am.
