Psalm 121
“I will lift up my eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help”
Mrs. Dorothy Jean Anderson Kelly “Dot” was born July 21, 1949, in Laurel, MS to the late Eugene and Dortha Anderson. She took her wings on Friday, July 12, 2024, and went home to be with The Lord.
She had many jobs over the years. She worked as a custodian at North Gulfport Elementary. She also had housekeeping jobs and ultimately retired from the Naval Base as a “Top Housekeeper.”
She will be greatly missed by her family. Dot was preceded in death by her four brothers, Willie James Anderson, James Earl Anderson, and James “Chicken” Anderson; four sisters, Elnora Anderson-McCullum, Eunice Ruth Anderson-Carpenter, Nancy Anderson-Clark and Sadie Anderson.
She leaves to cherish her memory, one daughter, Dorothy Ann Kelly-Lampley; four grandchildren, Lando Kelly, Ciara Kelly, Xavier Lampley, and Malik Lampley; six great-great grandchildren, Alyssia Kelly, Brandon Fuhs, Makiya Hamilton, Empress Thurmond, Tyvelle Kelly, and Mason Taylor; one special niece and nephew, Jennifer Anderson-Watts and Chip Cole; and a host of other nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 22, 2024, at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, at 11:00 am. Visitation will start at 10:00 am.
