Earline Hudson, 77, of Biloxi MS, departed this life January 12, 2018 at Ocean Springs Hospital Singing River Health System.
She was born in Oran, MO, December 25, 1940, the daughter of the late Sandy Harris and Dorothy Banks-Briggs. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Charleston, MO.
Ms. Hudson will be remembered not only as a loyal and loving mother, grandmother and sister, but also as a kind, savvy, and generous neighbor and friend. An expression of her love was “serving". Before her health started to decline you would find her driving the church van to pick up the Saints, singing in the choir or preparing soul food for family, friends and strangers alike. No one went hungry when she was around.
Ms. Hudson was preceded in death by a son, Melvin Hudson; two sisters, Maxine Hawthorn and Bertha Kelly; a granddaughter, Tiffany Harris; and a son-in-law, George Smith.
Surviving to celebrate her life are her children, Calvin (Jennifer) Harris (Bloomington, IN), Harold Harris (Oklahoma City, OK), Rhonda Harris (El Centro, CA), Marvin Harris (Biloxi, MS), Mark Hudson (Decatur, AL) Michelle (Robert) Warlick (Biloxi, MS), Yolanda Smith (Gulfport, MS); four brothers, Dan Briggs (Gary, IN), Larry (Glenda) Briggs (Jefferson City, MO), Tommy (Valarie) Briggs (Oakland, CA), Dell (Debbie) Briggs (Iowa City, IA); one sister, Shirley (Robert) Dilworth (Litchfield Park, AZ); grandchildren, Armand James Sr., Ebonee (Scott) Jones, Nexus Harris, Brentney Campbell, Nathaniel Campbell, Joslyn Campbell, Jamila Harris, Benecia Harris, Tenise Harris, Lauren Harris, Brianna Harris, LaTroy Shantez Harris, Tamara (Mark) Jackman, Kohath Josiah Harris, Abiyah Yosiah Harris, Elishama Josiah Harris, Azarian Josiah Harris, Shelomith Josiah Harris, Tobiyah Josiah Harris, Stacey Arjanae Walls, Brittany Harris, Pamela Hudson, Mark Hudson Jr., Darius (Nafeteria) Hudson, Jasmine Warlick, Lutece (John) Ahrens, Devian Evans; 43 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
