Eric Stanley Cameron

On February 2, 2016, God in His infinite wisdom called Eric Stanley Cameron from this earthly home. Eric was born June 10, 1974 in Gulfport, MS, and was the first child of Hewey and Nelwyn Cameron. He grew up in Avondale Circle in Gulfport, where he exemplified a special love for his family, church and friends. He attended Harrison County Head Start Center, Central Elementary and Gulfport High School. Later on he left Gulfport and attended Bamburg Job Corps in South Carolina. It was there where Eric met his wife Tonya and they had two children, Sean and Donovan. Eric and Tonya lived in Marietta, GA, for a while and later on they moved to Jacksonville, FL. Eric spent his working career in various jobs. The last job he worked at was The Legion Staffing in Jacksonville. At an early age, he attended the First United Pentecostal Church in Gulfport and other churches and was baptized. Eric loved to draw and he also loved sports, music, and going to church. He entered the 1992 Congressional Arts Competition and The Scholastic Art Awards of 1994. Eric passed from this life to join his grandmothers, Mrs. Susan P. Cameron, Mrs. Bernice Heathman, and Mrs. Estella Heathman; and grandfathers, Mr. Willie Brown and Mr. Willie Lee Cameron; and an uncle, Rene Cameron Fond memories will always be treasured by his loving and dedicated ex-wife, Tonya Cameron; their two children, Sean Cameron and Donovan Cameron; his mother, Mrs. Nelwyn Cameron; his father, Mr. Hewey (Joan) Cameron; five brothers, Jermaine Cameron of Jackson, MS, Jamaal Cameron and Reginald Cameron, both of Gulfport, MS, and Dietrich Harmon of Kosciusko, MS; one sister, Alicia Collins; one auntie, Abigail (Earnest) Liddell of Moss Point, MS; uncles, Pastor Gregory (Patricia) Heathman of Detroit, MI, Jeremiah Heathman of Columbia, SC, Donald Evans of Moss Point, MS, Eddie (Eliza) Evans of Columbia, SC; cousins, Paul Jordan of Moss Point, MS, Selina (Jonathan) Rainge, and Na’rrah (Jerry Rollinson of Detroit, MI. A definite void will also be felt in the hearts and lives of his many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
