Ms. Ermin Agatha Davis was born in Bamboo, St. Ann, Jamaica on September 9, 1952, to Walter Davis and Kathlyn Livert. She transitioned from this life on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at the age of 69.

She was a hairdresser by trade. After attending Leon’s Beauty School in Kingston, Jamaica, Ermin owned and operated Powell’s Beauty Salon. She also worked many years at Spanish Town Hospital before moving to the United States, where she worked at The Pillars of Biloxi Nursing Home.

Although she lived in Biloxi, MS, Ermin’s thoughts often returned to her beloved homeland, Jamaica, and the beautiful beaches and delicious, authentic Jamaican food she grew up loving.

Ermin was a great cook and her fried dumplings were the best! She enjoyed gardening and puzzles, but she really, really loved to sing. Her family chat with her extended family from Jamaica, the US, and the UK was graced regularly with her singing a song in the mornings.

Ermin was preceded in death by her parents.

She leaves to cherish her memories three children: Mesha Thompson of Waterford, St. Catherine, Jamaica, Yvette (Rudolph) Richards of D’Iberville, Mississippi, and Floyd Laidlaw of Kissimmee, Florida. Ermin’s greatest joy was being a grandmother to her much loved and adored eight grandchildren, whom she leaves to cherish her memory: Nicoy, Chantae, Shemar, Chantel, Hadjae’, Eleazar, Tianna, and Daniel; and great-grandson, Neheeme; and a host of relatives and friends.

Services will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at Infinity Church The Apostolic Assembly, at 11:00 am.  Visitation will start at 10:00 am.
