Fredrick "Freddie" Fairley, 51, passed away on March 18, 2013, in Biloxi, MS. He was born on July 15, 1961 to Julius and Christella Fairley. Freddie grew up in Biloxi, MS where he joined New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church at an early age and sang in the youth choir. He attended Gorenflo Elementary and Michel Jr, high schools. Freddie enjoyed baseball and basketball and often traveled with the Biloxi Trotters during his teen years. He graduated from Biloxi Senior High school in 1979. He enlisted in the United States Army and served for 13 years. Freddie served as a sergeant in the Special Forces unit in Desert Storm and was the recipient of several awards. He was employed by the Department of Defense as a vehicle and transportation specialist in Iraq. Freddie later owned and operated Fairley and Sons Trucking. As he grew older, his love for sports continued. This passion was also shared with his father and son who spent countless hours fishing and hunting. Freddie�s charm and charisma allowed him to have conversations with complete strangers. His likable and engaging personality was a magnet for characters from all walks of life. Freddie is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Simone; his children, Fredrick C. Fairley, Jasmine Lenoir, Kiah Joiner, and Julian D. Fairley; his devoted parents, Julius and Christella Fairley; his sister Vanessa Beverly; his brother Christopher Fairley (Natalie); and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Services will be held Friday, March 22, 2013 at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Biloxi. Visitation from 11:30-12:30 with service beginning at 12:30.
