Geneva Wallace was born on September 4, 1945, in Tylertown, MS, to the late Robert James and Imogene James. She was united with Main Street Missionary Baptist Church of Biloxi, MS, under the leadership of the late Rev. Dr. Kenneth Haynes, Sr. Mrs. Wallace started her career in nursing during her early years before pursuing a career in culinary arts. Sister Geneva Wallace was called home by our heavenly father on Friday, March 17, 2017, at the age of 71.
She was preceded in death by both her parents, Robert and Imogene James; her sisters, Sophie Dickey and Dorothy Nan Williams; and brothers, Samuel James, Larry James and Richard James.
She leaves to cherish her memories a husband, Nathaniel Wallace of Augusta, GA; four sons, Willie (Annette) James of Gulfport, MS, Rodney (Pauline) James of Biloxi, MS, Joseph Ray Foster of Biloxi, MS, Christopher (Tina) Foster of Warner Robins, GA; three brothers, Robert (Betty) James, Jr. of Detroit, MI, J.L. James of Biloxi, MS and David (Yvonne) James of Ocean Springs, MS; a sister, Brenda Steward of Phoenix, AZ; eleven grandchildren, CoRhonda (Reggie) Burbridge of New Orleans, Brandi Shoemaker of Jackson, MS, Miyoshi (Willie) Lewis-Wilson of Gulfport, MS, Phallentenia (Tyson) Roach of Fairbanks, AK, Skylar Johnson of Biloxi, MS, Kiera Rankin of Atlanta, GA, Joseph Ray Foster II of Tampa, FL, Aivory Christian Foster of Tampa, FL, Cedric Jerimiah Campbell of Biloxi, MS, Sabrina Breanna Foster of Biloxi, MS, Kam'Ron Joseph Foster of Biloxi, MS, and Dominique Fields of Warner Robins, GA; nineteen great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
