Mr. George Stansberry, Jr. passed away Friday, February 8, 2013 at the age of 71. A native of Chicago, IL he was born July 31, 1941 to George Stansberry, Sr. and Lois Carnell Jewells. A proud Vietnam Veteran, George retired from the Federal Bureau of Prisons after 20 years of dutiful service. Upon settling on the Mississippi Gulf Coast he joined St. Paul United Methodist Church; where he was a member of the United Methodist Men, the St. Paul United Methodist Church Male Chorus, and served as the church�s Disaster Coordinator. George was an avid fisherman who enjoyed conversing with family and friends. He will be warmly remembered by those who knew him. He was preceded in death by his father, George Stansberry, Sr. Mr. George Stansberry, Jr. leaves to cherish his memory a loving and devoted wife, Patricia Ray Stansberry, his caring mother, Lois Jewells; one son, Miguel Stansberry; two daughters, Cheri Stansberry Singleton and Stephanie D. Stansberry; one brother Ronald (Quanita) Stansberry; three grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and special friends. A Memorial Service for Mr. George Stansberry, Jr. will be held Friday, February 15, 2013 at 11:00AM at St. Paul United Methodist Church located at 696 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. in Biloxi.
