Gladys Lucille Daniels, 92, a resident of Biloxi, MS, passed away on November 12th at the Merit Health Biloxi Hospital. She was born in Montrose, MS on December 23rd, 1930, the daughter of George Lanzie Brown and Carrie Bell Galloway Brown.
She spent her working career as a renowned cook for Mary Mahoney’s restaurant for several years. She enjoyed traveling with family, playing in her garden, and was known for her many delectable dishes.
Gladys was married to Louis Charles Daniels, Sr who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Tami Denise Bratton (Slyvester) and three sons Deryl Anthony Daniels, Micheal O’Neal Daniels, and Benjamin Dale Daniels.
Gladys is survived by 2 brothers and 6 sisters: Mattie Lee Walker (John), Rosetta Crumbley (Willie), Vicie Metrine Posey (George), Bertha Mae Duvernay (Ronald), Benjamin George Brown (Ethel), Ina Jean Randall (Thomas), Doris Browne, and Johnnie Earl Brown. She is also survived by 3 children: Louis Charles Daniels Jr. (Brenda), Lynda Joyce Jones (Anthony), Gina Sudduth Bradley (Melvin). Additionally, Gladys is survived by 16 grands, 26 great grands and 18 great great grands, as well as a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at Nance Temple, at 11:00 am. Visitation will start at 10:00 am.
