Grady L. Houze, Sr.

Mr. Grady Lee Houze, Sr. departed this earthly life on Friday February 10, 2023, in Gulfport, MS, surrounded by his loved ones. He was 88 years of age, born on March 15, 1934, in Frankville, AL, where he attended Washington County School system.

Mr. Grady was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He loved spending time with his grandkids and great grandkids. Mr. Grady married his Queen Mrs. Sylvia Houze on June 22, 1958, they have spent 65 lovely years together. Mr. Grady really enjoyed his job as a brick mason, he worked for J.O. Collins. He built many things around the coast, including his neighbor's mailboxes. When he retired in the early 2000's, he would like to sit around and watch tv at his bar/table. He enjoyed soap operas, wrestling, gardening, cooking and sports. He was a New Orleans Saints fan. Mr. Grady was a quiet man who knew his own mind and kept his own counsel.

Mr.Grady was preceded in death by his father William Henry Houze, his mother Bertha Capers, and stepfather Sanders Capers, brother Albert Henry Houze, sister Hattie Pearl Tennort, and son Stevie Houze.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 17, 2023, at Infinity Funeral Home Chapel at 3:00 pm.
