Gwendolyn Inez Brooker

Gwendolyn Inez Brooker, 58, a resident of Killeen, TX, departed this earthly home on Monday, May 5, 2014 to be with her Father in Heaven.�She was born in New Orleans, LA, December 23, 1955, the Daughter of Roosevelt Brooker and Evelyn Walker. Gwendolyn attended Miami Jackson Senior High and Texas A&M University pursuing a Bachelor�s Degree in Business Administration.�Gwendolyn spent her working career with Accu-Tax accounting in Miami, FL as well as working with the Internal Revenue Service in Austin, Texas. Gwendolyn was a native of Miami, Fl, and enjoyed music, and loved going to the beach. Gwendolyn was a loving Daughter, Mother, Grandmother; she never met a stranger and truly was a friend to all. Gwendolyn was preceded in death by her Grandparents, and father, Roosevelt Brooker. Gwendolyn leaves to cherish her memories, a loving mother Evelyn Walker; four children, Torrey Price, Evelyn Brooker, Jade Brooker, and Zuri Brooker; two grandsons, Torrey Price Jr. and Rolando Love; one granddaughter, Sunshine Brown and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, other relatives and great friends. Services for Ms. Gwendolyn Brooker will be held Friday, May 9, 2014 at 2:00PM at St Andrews AME, 2615 Madison Avenue in Gulfport, MS; with visitation one hour prior. The family of Ms. Gwendolyn Brooker has entrusted her care to the professional staff of Richmond-August Funeral Home.
