Evangelist Helen R. Bradley was born on November 6, 1947, to the late Mr. Johnny and Mrs. Mattie Thompkins Robinson in Shuqualak, Mississippi. Her transition came on October 20, 2024. At an early age she moved to Gulfport Mississippi, later graduated from 33rd Avenue high school in Gulfport Mississippi.
Helen met and married the late Leon Augustus Bradley August 24, 1968. They moved to Denver, Colorado in1969. They had two children in their union.
In Denver, Helen became an RN where she ran a lab as a lab technician at Fitzsimmons Army Base. After retirement she attended Bellgrove Theological Seminary where she graduated in 2006 and received her doctorate degree in Theology. She served as a minister for over 20 years while there. Helen loved to fish, cook, sing and listen to gospel, and collect writing pens.
Helen and her daughter returned to Gulfport Mississippi in 2017.
She later joined New Testament Pentecostal Church and joined the ministry as an Evangelist.
She was preceded in death by her husband the late Leon Augustus Bradley, Sr. Five brothers Roosevelt, Cleavon, Ernest, Jessie, Johnny Lee Robinson. Two sisters, Mamie Robinson and Emma Jane Jenkins. One son, Leon Augustus Bradley, JR.
She leaves to cherish her memories to her sweet daughter, Karen Michelle Bradley of Gulfport Mississippi. Three grandchildren: Aaron Leon Bradley, Kamiainiko Bradley, and Aniylah Bradley; 3 brother Johnny B. Robinson from Chicago, IL, Jimmy and Oscar Robinson of Shuqualak, MS; two sisters Mary Robinson of Chicago, IL and Cyntha ( James Ray) Little of Shuqualak, MS and a host of nieces, nephews , cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 31, 2024, at 9:45 am, at New Testament Pentecostal Church in Gulfport, MS. Visitation will start at 9:00 am.
