Henry Alden Dexter, 69, of Vancleave, MS, passed away, April 20, 2017.
He was born in New Orleans, LA on October 13, 1947, the son of H.D. and Luverna Dexter. He was united in holy matrimony to Ms. Priscilla Peoples in 2009. Henry spent his working career at Armor Lloyd Fabrication in Fort Worth, TX; Roy Alexander Construction and Yates Construction, both on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, yard work and watching sports.
Henry was preceded in death by his parents, H.D. and Luverna Dexter; his mother-in-law, Helen Lidy; three brothers-in-law, Leonard Peoples, Henry Lidy, and Charles Lidy.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving and devoted wife, Priscilla Dexter; son, Sammy (Marie) Moultry of Crowly, TX; four stepsons, William Earl Peoples, Arthur Sullivan, Leonard Sullivan, and Joe H. Sullivan; daughters, Felicia (Levi) Ruffin of Sagniaw, TX, Kimberly (Dell) Dixon, Annette Dexter, and Latitia Dexter, all of Fort Worth, TX; two stepdaughters, Hettie Campbell of Biloxi, MS, and Jennifer (Charles) Quinn of Woolmarket, MS; five sisters, Mary N. Jones and Elizabeth Magee, both of Ocean Springs, MS, Diane Dexter of Burlston, TX, Bernice Quinn and Louvenia Taylor, both of Biloxi; two brothers, Jerry (Lillie Mae) Dexter and H.B. Dexter; three brothers-in-law, Robert (Sylvia) Lidy of Atlanta, GA, Sylvester Hunt,and Albert Lidy of Vancleave; two sisters-in-law, Linda (Alex) Douglas and Clara Bell Hunt Gulley of Tampa, FL; 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren;and a host of other relatives and friends.
