Janora Lynn Cook, 59, a resident of Gulfport, Mississippi, passed away, October 27, 2020, surrounded by her children and brother.
She was born in Spokane, Washington on September 22, 1961, the daughter of Ruby LeFleur. Janora attended Joel E. Ferris High School where she graduated in 1979. Janora married Michael Bernard Cook, Sr. on May 18, 1991.
Janora spent her working career in customer service and retail, which she found joy in doing each day. She was most recently employed at Sears for ten plus years where she found her like for hardware and home goods. She was a faithful member of her church home Bible Way Baptist Church. A leading part of the PTA organization for multiple elementary schools. She enjoyed helping others in any way that she could.
Janora was preceded in death by her Grandfather M. L. (Priscilla) Walker; and Grandmother Sudora Walker.
Janora is survived by her husband Michael Bernard Cook, Sr; her mother Ruby LeFleur; one brother Julian Walker; her four children Cherise (Thomas) Adkins, Michael B. Cook, Jr., Shanisa (Ashton Worthen) Cook, Julius L. Cook, Sr.; five grandchildren Ka’Myah Adkins, Kylah Adkins, Julius L. Cook, Jr., Aleah Worthen, and her newest unborn granddaughter, a host of nieces, nephews, and loving relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Janora Lynn Cook will be held Wednesday, November 11, 2020, at 1:00 pm at Infinity Funeral Home 184 Main Street Biloxi, Mississippi 39530.
