Jerry Walker

Jerry J. Walker, 59, of Gulfport, Mississippi passed away October 27, 2014 in Biloxi, Mississippi. He was born in Magee, Mississippi November 7, 1954, the son of Eddie Walker and Florine Lee. Jerry was a graduate of Harrison Central High School , Class of 1973. He attended DeVry Institute of Technology in Chicago, Illinois where he received an Associate Degree in Electronics. Jerry married his loving and devoted wife, Mary Chapman Walker on December 23, 2012. Jerry spent his working career as an Electrician for more than 30 years. Prior to his illness, he was employed with Trinity Yacht in Gulfport, Mississippi for more than 5 years. Jerry enjoyed peaceful walks on the beach and Sunday drives with his beautiful wife, Mary. He was preceded in death by his father, Eddie Walker and step-father, Carston Lee; sister, Eddie Ruth Walker and brother, Wayne Walker. Jerry is survived by his devoted wife, Mary Chapman Walker; his mother Mrs. Florine Lee; four sisters, Jean Edwards, Joyce Williams, Clara (Gipson) Means, Shirley Lewis; and one brother, Murle(Sylvia) Walker; one daughter, Melody Walker, one son, Jerry Walker, Jr.; two step-sons, Anthony Chapman, Jr. and Jerrell Chapman; six grandchildren, Malik Walker, Milan Walker, Melody Ann Walker, Ashley R. Chapman, MaKayla Chapman, Kai Anthony Chapman and Chandler Chapman. He also leaves three aunts, Thelma Walker, Melzina Walker and Leona Stewart; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Services for Jerry J. Walker will be held Saturday, November 1, 2014 at 2:00pm at First Missionary Baptist Church, Handsboro with visitation one hour prior to the service. The family of Mr. Jerry J. Walker has entrusted his care to the professional staff of RICHMOND-AUGUST FUNERAL HOME.
