Born on January 18, 1949, in Eglin Air Force Base, FL, John's journey came to a peaceful end on June 8, 2024, in Biloxi, MS.
During his illustrious career, John spent 23 years serving actively in the Air Force and another remarkable 20 years in Civil Service at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, MS. His commitment and unwavering loyalty to his work were truly commendable.
Described as funny with a dry sense of humor, outgoing, and someone who relished gathering with friends, John had a magnetic personality that drew people towards him. His love for Nascar and riding motorcycles reflected his adventurous spirit and zest for life.
Affectionately called "Tommy" by his family, one of John's strongest connections was the bond he shared with his mini pin, Scooter. Their bond was a true testament to the compassionate heart that John possessed.
John was preceded in death by his wife Betty King; parents John King, Sr. and Emma Farley King; sisters Beth Pippin and Laurie Anne Pippin.
In his passing, John leaves behind a loving family that includes his sister, Linda Mathis; great nieces, Courtney Folsom and Hannah Baron; and great-great nieces, Gracie, Ryleigh, Paisley and Oaklynn will carry forward the love and memories shared with their "Tommy."
