Judie Carolyn Williamson

Mother Judie Carolyn Dunn Williamson Was born September 14, 1946, To the Late Mr. Joe Dunn & Mrs. Eula V. Akles Dunn in Anniston Alabama (Calhoun County). Mrs. Judie grew up in and around Heflin, Alabama and graduated from High School at Heflin Training School in May of 1965. She was an avid runner and sports buff who had no problem playing basketball, baseball, cheerleading and participating in track and field events. She loved to read, sew, cook, sing, dance and “Shop till she dropped”. She took life seriously. She loved the Lord and the things of God. The family was first and foremost in her life after God Almighty. Mrs. Judie confessed Christ at an early age and accepted Him. After High School, Judie moved back to Anniston where she worked at the Dry Cleaners and Maye Frances Booker’s Café. On December 25th, 1965 Judie united in Holy Matrimony with the “Love of her Life”, Mr. James Clyde Williamson Jr. Life’s Adventures began as they traveled throughout the U.S., stationed in Montgomery, AL; Columbus, MS; Phoenix, AZ; Boston, MA; Atwater, CA; Anchorage, AK; and Biloxi, MS. They had 3 children, Jammadriteal, Janice and Alpha “A.J.” True values and instructions of life’s lessons and rules were instilled in their home. She believed in the “Rod of Correction”, Truth and Honesty. If you didn’t want the truth it was best not to ask her. She was one of the hardest working women. If anyone was a slacker or lazy Mrs. Judie would motivate or encourage them to do better or get out of the way and she would do it herself. Perfection was a part of her everyday living. She expected the BEST and NOTHING LESS. Mrs. Judie loved to decorate and was very particular about details, she called herself a “Domestic Engineer”. Excellence was a priority. She believed in education and putting your best foot forward in everything. Down through the years she wore many hats. She attended Boston Business College and pursued a brief career as becoming an Executive Secretary. She served as a parent for the PTO/PTA while in California. She worked briefly for Bellevue Elementary/Middle School as a Teacher’s Assistant. She quit that job and said she would volunteer because those children were out of control. She went on to work at a café as a cashier and waitress. In Alaska (Elmendorf AFB) she worked at the Base Exchange as a Retail associate in the sewing and Jewelry Departments. After returning to Mississippi in 1978, Mrs. Judie sought different job opportunities and began to work for Church’s Chicken in Biloxi store #729 outside of Keesler Gate #7. She pursued a Managerial Career with them and was later given her own Store on Courthouse Rd, in Gulfport, MS. After leaving Church’s Chicken she began to work as a Cashier at Keesler AFB Base Exchange for approximately 4 years. Her last 2 sets of jobs were working at Super Walmart in D’Iberville, MS and she cleaned houses for personal and professional individuals. Mrs. Judie was a Wife, Mother, Teacher, Disciplinarian, Instructor/Teacher, Reacher and Preacher of the Gospel. She worked tirelessly until she retired in 2009. In each state or city, Mrs. Judie always found time to reverence The Lord and united in fellowship with a local congregation and joined in willfully. She grew up in Canaan Baptist Church in Heflin, Alabama and later united with New Hope Baptist Church in Anchorage, AK under Rev. Leo Lyons. When she moved to Biloxi, MS she becomes a member of Main Street Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Robert E. Coker she joined the United Usher Board, Senior Mission #2 and was a Sunday School Teacher and was faithful. She later joined the Senior Choir and lead many songs. She was preceded in death by her Mother Mrs. Eula V. Akles Dunn, Father Mr. Joe Dunn Sr. Oldest Brother O.B. “Joe Louis” Dunn, Sister Ms. Juanita Dunn Moore and her Younger Brother Mr. Joe W.(Francine) Dunn. Mrs. Judie accepted her calling as a Teacher of the Gospel and was a powerful Speaker, she received the Holy Ghost and operated in demonstration and power as a witness. Mrs. Judie was a member of the Voices of Deliverance Community Choir -The group traveled up and down the Coast singing the Gospel with Mrs. Billie Ruth Cochran. After 18 years of membership at Main Street, she united with Neshoba & Joy Apostolic Church of Ocean Springs, MS under the tutelage of Pastor Genoria L. Tobias where she served as Cup Bearer, Usher, Teacher, Kitchen Committee, and Pastor’s Aide. Mrs. Judie joined the Women’s Outreach Alliance Ministry and was an active member for 22 years. Mother Judie heard that the Prophet had come to town and said she was glad he had come and moved and wanted to become a member of New Destiny Ministry, 306 Main Street Biloxi, MS 39530 On December 18, 2016, Bishop Wayne W. Sr. was her Pastor and Mother Patricia Lacy. Mrs. Judie Carolyn Dunn Williamson leaves to cherish her memories, her husband Mr. James C. Williamson Sr., two sons and one daughter and one daughter in law; Jammadriteal Dunn Williamson, Janice C. Williamson, Alpha (Sondalei) Williamson; (7)Grandchildren: Jasmine, Jametria Seneca, Brooke Colena, Desmond, Shaelynn Marie, Draven, and Amari Jean and 1 great-grandson: Javeon; 2 Sister in Laws Mrs. Bessie (Charles) Moore Jacksonville, AL, Mrs. Mary (Howard) Terry of Phoenix City, AL; 2 Brothers in law Mr. John Henry Williamson & family of Sacramento, CA and Mr. Nathaniel Lee Williamson; 1 Maternal Aunt: Mrs. Erma D. Heard of Heflin, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and longtime friends: Mrs. Pearl & Mr. Eddie Maddox, Mrs. Louise & Mr. Charles Moorer, Mrs. Geraldine Spikes, Mrs. Annie Wilborn, Mrs. Mary & Mr. Henry King, and Mrs. Katherine B. Adams.
