Karter Tashawn Jones

Karter Tashawn Jones, lovingly known as KJ, was born on June 30, 2023, at Merrit Health Hospital. From the moment he came into this world, he brought immense joy and happiness to his family. In the short time he spent with us, KJ touched the lives of everyone around him with his infectious smile and boundless energy.

KJ's parents, Iyana and Tray, were overjoyed to welcome him into their loving embrace. They cherished every moment they spent with their little bundle of joy. KJ quickly became the center of their world and brought an immense sense of fulfillment to their lives.

One of KJ's favorite pastimes was watching Elmo. His eyes would light up with delight whenever he saw his favorite character on the screen. It was a joyous sight to behold as he was captivated by the puppet. When not watching Elmo, Karter's face would brighten with a smile whenever his sister, Londyn was near. 

Karter's journey in this world was filled with many milestones and accomplishments. From his first bath to brushing his hair for the first time, each experience was a precious memory that will forever be cherished by his family. They also fondly remember the day they took him outside for the first time, seeing his eyes widen in wonder at the world around him.

With an indomitable spirit, KJ showed incredible determination from an early age. Despite his tender age, he eagerly tried to stand on his own two feet, showcasing a strong will and a desire to explore the world around him.

Karter will be remembered for his love of eating; he could eat a lot every hour! He spent valuable time with his Gigi, and loved when she called him "Man-Man"

Tragically, Karter Tashawn Jones passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 20, 2023. Though we mourn the loss of such a bright and beautiful soul, we take solace in knowing that KJ's time on Earth was filled with immense love and joy. His legacy will forever be imprinted in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

To honor KJ's memory and celebrate his life, a visitation will be held at Infinity Funeral Home on August 26, 2023, starting at 10:30 AM. Friends and family are invited to pay their last respects and share their cherished memories of this incredible little boy. Following the visitation, a Celebration of Life will take place at the same location from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, where stories of KJ's bright spirit and joyful nature will be shared.

Karter Tashawn Jones leaves behind his loving parents, Iyana and Tray, who are comforted by the knowledge that they were blessed to have him as their son. He also leaves behind cherished memories with his sister Londyn, who brought him endless smiles and laughter.

In his brief time with us, KJ taught us valuable lessons about love, resilience, and finding joy in the simplest of things. His absence leaves a void in our lives, but his spirit will forever be woven into the tapestry of our memories.

As we say goodbye to this remarkable soul, let us remember KJ for the happiness he brought into our lives. May his vibrant spirit continue to shine brightly in our hearts. Rest in peace, dear Karter Tashawn Jones. You will always be loved and dearly missed.
