Kenneth L. Martin, a Brother, Uncle, Dad and Grandfather, Cousin and Friend departed this earthly life on Monday, February 24, 2025 in Biloxi, MS.

Kenny as he was fondly known by was born in Tylertown, MS to the late Eddie L. Martin Sr. and Nellie M. Martin.

Kenny attended Harrison Central High School. After graduation he attended Hinds Jr. College and later William Carey University in Hattiesburg, MS, after which he joined the United States Armed Services, where he served in the U.S. Navy. After his military services he was employed with The City of Gulfport where he retired after 20 years.

Kenny gave his life to Christ and joined Progressive Missionary Baptist Church.

Kenny, standing 6’0 was physically tall, and his personality made him even taller, he was one of the best, he enjoyed life and having a good time telling jokes to keep you laughing. His favorite pastime was barbequing with his family and friends and watching sports. His favorite football team being the Kansas City Chiefs.

Kenny was preceded in death by his (Father) Eddie L. Martin, Sr. (Mother) Nellie M. Martin and (Brother) Eddie L. Martin Jr. 

Kenny leaves to cherish his precious memories in our hearts forever his children-(Daughter) LaToya (Wyatt) Thomas, Gulfport, MS, (Daughter) Kendra Martin, Bakersfield, CA, (Son) Kenneth (Monica) Martin, Bakersfield, CA.  Sisters: Mary Martin-Gulfport, MS, Catherine (Paul) Johnson Gulfport, MS, Beverly Taylor-New Orleans, LA, Kizzie Mark, Sandy Hook, MS and Sharon Johnson, Gulfport, MS.  Brothers: Archie Marks-Gulfport, MS, Bennie Pittman, Alvin (Genice) Pittman, Argie Mark, Brent (Linda) Mark, Jonah Mark all of Sandy Hook, MS and John C. Ezell (Carla) El Paso, TX. Grandchildren: Saniya Hobbs, A’Khalia Turner, Jordan Turner, Taylor Turner, Kyhlo Jones, Damani Martin, Taelynn Martin, Jurnee Martin, Dallas Martin, Kennadi Martin, Kehlani Martin, Great Grandson-Kashmir Milhomme.  A host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. He will truly be missed by everyone.

The Family wishes to express our sincere thanks to all family and friends for all the love, support and acts of kindness shown us during this time in our lives. Your prayers and encouragement have been a source of strength and comfort to us. We are forever grateful and pray that God will bless each of you.

Special thanks to Pastor Bryan Sykes and Progressive Missionary Baptist Church Family and to Deaconess Home Health Agency, The Staff at Merit Hospital, Biloxi Emergency and ICU Department.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at 11:00 am, at Progressive Missionary Baptist Church.  Visitation will start at 10:00 am.
