Mrs. La Monica Anita Gayden of D’Iberville, MS, passed away on December 16, 2017. La Monica was born in Biloxi on November 10, 1968 to Minnie Bell and Anthony J. Bell Sr. La Monica graduated from Biloxi High School and received her bachelor of science degree in medical technology from Central Texas College in Killeen, TX. La Monica was married to Christopher D. Gayden, Sr. on January 7, 1988. She spent over twenty years working at Chemours as a Chemical Operator. La Monica enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, and engaging in her favorite past time of shopping.
La Monica was preceded in death by her father, Anthony Bell; and mother-in-law, Helen Gayden. She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, Christopher Gayden; her children, La Marcus and Christopher (CJ) Gayden; her mother, Minnie Bell of Biloxi; her sisters, Angela Bell of Biloxi and Carla Lanier of Columbus, OH; her brother, Anthony (Tony) Bell, Jr. of San Diego, CA; nieces, Rashida Bell and Aneisha Bell of Biloxi; nephew, Jameel Rucker; nieces, Elizabeth and Catherine Bell of San Diego, CA; three great nieces, Mallory and McKinnley Atkinson, and Jordan Rucker, all of Biloxi; her in-laws, Calvin (Billie) Ramsey of MS, Robert Gayden, Joe (Gatha) Gayden of D’Iberville, Anthony (Denise) Gayden of Ocean Springs, Marx (April) Gayden, Carl (Beverly) Lewis, Edward (Monique) Gayden and Engrid (Kevin) Barnes of D’Iberville; and a host of family and friends including: Shante Keyes of Gulfport, MS , Lawonyda Holmes of Biloxi, Forest Rucker of Biloxi, Russell Carrier of Biloxi, Alice Reddix of Biloxi, and Janine Harges of D’Iberville.
