Leon Jefferson

Mr. Leon Rogers Jefferson was born November 24, 1960 in Gulfport, Mississippi to Mr. D.C. and Mrs. Esther T. Jefferson. Leon accepted Jesus Christ at the young age of twelve in Tylertown, Mississippi while going to church with his mother. Leon graduated in 1979 from Tylertown High School. Leon worked hard doing construction. He leaves to cherish his memory two sisters, Bobbie J. Williams, and Rhoda J. McIntosh, both of Gulfport, Mississippi. Also, three brothers, Ira D. Jefferson of Pass Christian, Mishiah Jefferson and Dennis Hal Jefferson, both of New Orleans. Leon also leaves four loving aunts; Ms. Willie Mae Wilson of New Orleans, Ms. Giorgia Lee Conerly, Ms. Ruthie Lee Irvin both of Detroit, and Ms. Celia Holmes of Tylertown; three uncles, Mr. Otis Jefferson of Jayess, MS; Mr. James Thornton of Tylertown, Mr. E.B. Thornton of Chicago and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Mr. Leon Rogers Jefferson was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. D.C. Jefferson and Mrs. Esther T. Jefferson, and his two brothers,Samuel D. Jefferson and Reginald Denny Jefferson. The family of Mr. Leon Jefferson has entrusted his arrangements to the caring staff of RICHMOND-AUGUST FUNERAL HOME.
