Leroy Mason, age 65, resident of Biloxi, passed away on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 in Gulfport, MS. He was born in Biloxi on May 20, 1950 to Ceolious and Allene Mason. Leroy attended M.F. Nichols High School. He served in the United States Army from 1 Dec. 1970 - 21 Sept. 1972. During this time he also served in Vietnam. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and he was a Sharpshooter (Rifle M-16). His military training included Supply Clerk School for 6 weeks in Fort Pork, LA. He spent his life after the military driving trucks. Leroy enjoyed spending time with his children, friends and playing cards. Leroy was preceded in death by his father, Ceolious Mason; mother, Allene Oden; brothers, Joseph Allen "Bubba" Mason and Charles Eugene Mason.Leroy is survived by his sisters, Noriece Johnson and Bonita (Mark) Wise; son, Torrain Mason; three daughters, Talicia (Glaister) Corlett, LaQuita (Joshua) Brown and Miyoshi Frazier; grandchildren, Aaron Corlett, Nyheem Frazier, Jayla Mason, Elijah Corlett, Tyrik Frazier, Jayden Frazier, Isaiah Brown, Pharaoh Otis and Talitha Corlett; and a host of other relatives and friends. A special thank you goes to the caring, nurturing and supportive staff of The Boyington, Memorial Hospital and Gentiva Hospice. Funeral services will be held at St. John Baptist Church on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at 1 pm with visitation one hour before the service.
