Leslie Jean Boley

Leslie "Jean" Boley, long time resident of Ocean Springs, received her Angel wings on Saturday, June 11, 2016. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 25 at 1:00 p.m. at her beloved St. John's Episcopal Church in Ocean Springs, followed by a reception in the church hall. Family & friends attending are encouraged to wear pink in her memory. Jean was born to Gene and Leslie (Hill) Forbish in Natchez, MS but moved to the coast as a child where she graduated from Biloxi High School in '57 as the Class Orator. She attended USM, as well as Jeff Davis Jr. College, where she earned a degree in radio broadcasting. She took a hiatus from a long civil service career at Keesler AFB in order to pursue her dream of reporting & broadcasting news from a radio station in Waveland/BSL, later returning & retiring from Keesler as a personnel out processor. She was an accomplished, disciplined artist, with a keen eye for color, and detail. She loved the beach, good food, friends, family, pretty things & her doll collection. She loved Dixieland Jazz and watching Mardi Gras parades broadcast live from New Orleans. Her passion for life was shown in her enthusiasm for holiday decorating. She loved life. Her life was love. She is preceded in death by her parents; her spouse of 40 years, Frank L. Boley; her son, John "Py" Moragne; and her brother, John "Bubba" Forbish. She will be greatly missed by her survivors, daughters Leslie (John) Moragne Molnar, and Teri L. Boley; a son, David L. Boley; seven grandchildren, Christian (Lauren) Pitalo, Leslie "Danielle" Owen, John "J.P." Molnar, Caitlin Molnar, Krissy (Scott) Walkwitz, Candice (Jon) Meacham, and Samantha Boley; two great-grandchildren, Willow and Henley Boley; as well as a brother, Robert "Bob" Forbish. She also leaves behind her best friend from childhood, Brenda Jermyn Szumigala. Jean had a calm, loving disposition and a compassionate, giving heart. She gave counsel to many, as well as shelter & assistance. In lieu of flowers, please consider giving a donation in her memory to: Disability Connection, 700 Pass Road, Gulfport, MS 39501. They too, aid people going through tough times. If unable to donate, please do a good deed for another, with Jean in your heart. Rest in Peace, Leslie "Jeanie", Our Angel. Arrangements for Mrs. Leslie "Jean" Boley have been entrusted to RICHMOND-AUGUST FUNERAL HOME. Inquiries: 228-436-6722.
