Lewis Thomas Reed, 65, of Gulfport, MS passed away September 15, 2020, at St. Joseph Hospice.
He was born in Humboldt, TN on October 9, 1954, the son of the late David and Ruby Jane Reed. Lewis attended Humboldt High School where he received his high school diploma.
Lewis was formerly married to the late Joyce L. Reed and from this union was born 4 children. Lewis later went on to marry the love of his life Mrs. Geneva Reed, on February 10, 2007.
Lewis spent four years of his life serving in the United States Army. He spent the rest of his years working and laboring hard to provide for his family at American Linen for 12 years and then retired from Brandi's Hope as a Direct Support Professional (Caregiver).
Lewis really enjoyed fishing and teaching his son Lil' Plies how to catch fish and spending time with his family. Lewis also enjoyed using his anointed voice for the glory of God. Lewis was very active in church at Greater Christian Worship Holiness Church and enjoyed praising the Lord. He served faithfully under the leadership of Pastors Melvin J. & Cora C. Walker.
Lewis also affectionally known as "T-Bone", was preceded in death by his parents David and Ruby Jane Reed and former wife Joyce Reed, and one brother James Reed.
He is survived by his wonderful wife of 13 years, Geneva Reed. 4 brothers John Reed, Randy Reed, Berry (Andrea) Reed, Willie (Marilyn) Reed, 4 sisters Pearlie (William) Sowell, Rose (Kinsey) Woodson, Birdie Morris, and Shirley (William) Branner. His children Shantel Lenon, Veronica Johnson, Florence (Jonathan) Ellis, Ieshea Reed, Earnestine Williams, Charlie (Shataura) Hall III, Chantel Reed, Idarean Hall, Cassie Reed, and Lil' Plies Hall Reed. 25 Grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. Lewis best friend Milton Sims and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Visitation for Mr. Reed will be on Wednesday, September 23, 2020, at Infinity Funeral Home – 184 Main Street, Biloxi, MS 39530 at 11:00 am.
