Lovie Jean McCray, 65, of Biloxi passed from life to eternity Wednesday, December 5, 2012. A community activist, Lovie was known to help those in need. She worked as a school bus driver and was a friend to people of all ages. She was a great asset to those in her community, especially the elderly. She could regularly be found lending a helping hand to those in need and was a positive example of faith in God. Lovie Jean McCray was preceded in death by her fahter, Nettles Mitchell. She leaves to cherish her memory, her mother, Mamie Mitchell, two sons; Shannon Mitchell and James Thomas I, three grandchildren, LaToya Smith, Shannon Van Dyke Mitchell, Jr. and James Earl Thomas II; two great grandchildren, Shawn J. Mitchell and Evan S. Mitchell; also a special community of friends The family of Ms. Lovie Jean McCray has entrusted her care to the professional staff of RICHMOND-AUGUST FUNERAL HOME.
