Psalms 73:26 Mable (Brock) McGee, 95, born February 28, 1920, was granted her angel wings on November 14, 2015. Mable was born in Tylertown, MS, to the late Augusta �Beat� Brock and Mattie Simmons Brock. Mable was one of 13 children. She was united in holy matrimony in 1936 to her one and only Love, Joseph Boregard McGee. This union was blessed with seven children. Reverend Joseph McGee preceded her in death in January 1984. Shortly after marriage Mable and Joe moved to Biloxi, MS. Mable was a homemaker and a self-made chef. Mable was the joint owner of McGee�s Caf� and Lunch counter where she cooked the world�s best sweet potato pies, collard greens, fried chicken and a variety of soul food dishes. Mable had a passion for cooking and cleaning. She made sure that three meals a day were cooked and the dishes were washed, dried and put away. No matter who you were you could always count on getting some southern fried chicken, collard greens, rice and gravy, sweet potato pie and a barqs root beer in her home. At an early age, Mable professed her faith in Jesus Christ and joined First Missionary Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Ministers and Deacons Wives Ministry. She was preceded in death by her two sons, Donald and Matthew McGee; five brothers, C.W Brock, O.C Brock, Lawyer Brock, Jewel Brock, Austin "Chug" Brock; six sisters, Idell Causey, Sable Newson, Lois Brock, Beatrice England, Lula Mae Brock; two grandchildren, Darlene Lott and Lawrence McGee; and one Great-Granddaughter, Chelsea Wynn. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children: Aline Ricard of Pensacola, FL, Daisy Lott and Dorothy McGee of Bridgeport, CT, Dovie (Kimaro Makembe) Carter of Nashville, TN, Bonnie (Herbert Robinson) Talley of Biloxi, MS; and one devoted reared Grand Daughter, Antilisa McGee Lewis of Diberville, Ms; 22 Grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and 26 great-great grandchildren; one sister, Maude (Sylvester) Magee; one brother, A.R. (Earnestine) Brock; a devoted daughter-like friend, Etta Cooper; one Special niece, Debora Magee; Special cousins, L.J. Travis, Mary Jean Arrington; companionship friends, Ruth Sanders, Alma Dewey, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Mable McGee will be held Thursday, November 19, 2015 at 12:00 pm at First Missionary Baptist Church, 658 Esters Blvd., Biloxi, MS 39530, with visitation at 11:00 am.
