Mark Earl Stallworth, Sr. 83, a resident of Pascagoula, MS, passed away, January 8, 2015 at Singing River Hospital surrounded by his loved ones. He was born in Beatrice, AL, December 10, 1931, the son of the late Skinner and Henrietta Stallworth. Mark graduated from J. F. Shields High School in Beatrice, AL, and enlisted in the Army where he proudly served his country until he was honorably discharged. Mark spent his working career in Mobile, AL, working for PPG Industries and retired after thirty-six years of faithful employment working as a Glass Technician and Truck Driver. His employment afforded him the luxury of extensive travel over the entire United States of America. He moved his church membership to New Era Baptist Church in Gautier when he relocated to Mississippi to be near his children. When he was not working he enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, traveling and cooking. Mark, affectionately known as Debby and Uncle Bubba, was preceded in death by his parents, Skinner and Henrietta Stallworth; two brothers, Willie Lee Stallworth, Sr. and Rodger Stallworth, Sr.; daughter, Brenda Stallworth-Weber; grandsons, Marcus and Daegan Stallworth; son-in-law, George Taylor, Jr.; two sister-in-laws, Marjorie Stallworth and Anjetta Stallworth. Mark is survived by his former wife and close friend, Eva Mae Stallworth-Fairley of Pascagoula, MS; three sisters, Mildred Stallworth of Mobile, AL, Essie Stennis of Gautier, MS, and Mary Nettles of Moss Point, MS; four sons, Dr. Mark (Kristina) Stallworth-Armstrong of Atlanta, Georgia, Mark Stallworth, Jr. of Pascagoula, MS, Patrick Stallworth of Ocean Springs, MS, and Rodger (Whilamena) Stallworth of Gautier, MS; seven daughters, Patricia Taylor, Margaret Sewell both of Pascagoula, MS, Cheryln Dawkins of Gautier, MS, Gaberilla (Roscoe) Brown of Pascagoula, MS, Gloria Stallworth of Gautier, MS, Doris (Brian) Thomas of Pascagoula, MS and Audra Wells of Gulfport, MS; two very special grandsons, Charles Octavius Weber of Pascagoula, MS and Bobby Fairley of Gautier, MS; six nieces who were dear to his heart, Otelia Gray, of Southfield, Michigan, Marilyn Kohn of Alexandria, Virginia, Brenda Collins of Atlanta, GA, Charlene Herring of Mobile, AL, Jackie Stallworth of Moss Point, MS; one faithful great-grand niece, Shalonda Franks of Mobile, AL. Extended Family, Cora Jerkins, Elfina Jerkins both of Loxley, AL, John Jerkins, Jr. of Troy, AL. A host of grand and great-grand children, nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Mark Earl Stallworth, Sr. will be held Friday, January 16, 2015, visiting hour at 10:30 a.m. and Funeral Service at 11:30 a.m. All services will be held at New Era Baptist Church 715 U. S. Highway 90, Gautier, MS. Repast will be held immediately after the Funeral Service at New Era Baptist Church. The Burial will take place on Monday, January 19, 2015 at the Biloxi National Cemetery in Biloxi, MS. Final arrangements entrusted to Richmond August Funeral Home, 189 Main Street, Biloxi, MS.
