Mary Louise Frison was born on January 1, 1937, in Lena, MS. She was born to the late GC and Armetta Russell. She was the first-born girl of 9 children.
Mary lived in Fresno, CA, before moving back to MS. She worked different jobs at a few casinos, Lady Luck, Palace Casino and the Beau Rivage, until her health began to fail. Her true passion was working with children, when her and her sisters, Shirley, Catherine and friend Willie Mae Smiley ran a daycare center. She was also employed with the Biloxi Public School System.
She met Cardell Frison, and they were married over 20 years. Her infectious smile and bubbly personality allowed her to never meet a stranger. She loved cooking, tending to her plants and flowers, spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Cardell Frison, her daughter Joann Thompson, her siblings George (Junior) Russell Jr., Calvin Russell Sr., Catherine Thomas, and Christine Hardison, two good friends Willie Mae Smiley and Sarah Manning.
She is survived by her children, Theoples Frison, Rachel Lampkin, SirRodney Lampkin from Biloxi, MS, and Ariel Lampkin of Gulfport, MS, her siblings, Shirley (William) Windham of Biloxi, MS, Fannie Mae Russell, Eddie Ray Russell, Henry Russell, George (Melvina) Russell of Union, MS, Bobby Frison, Derry Frison, Elizabeth Frison, Andrew Frison and Marcia Frison Gunn of Memphis, TN, her grandchildren, Shawn Thompson, Serenity Lampkin, Trenton Sherrod and Jaylen Cross; and a host of nieces and nephews.
