Mrs. Mildred Brown Buckley,daughter of the late Ezra and Bessie Woods, was born in Seminary, Mississippi on March 26, 1937. She is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Buckley; daughter Betti Ann Mitchell, and son, Chris Brown. She is also preceded in death by her two brothers, Willie James Woods, Ledro Woods, and her two sisters Martha Magee and Mary Alice Saunders Woods. She was employed for many years by the U.S. Naval Home in Gulfport, Ms. She loved spending time with her sisters, children, and grandchildren. She was a member of the New Testament Pentecostal Church where she served as a church mother. She leaves to cherish her haemory, a "special friend, Mr. Terry Tate, one brother Charles Lott(Janet), Houston, TX; four sisters, Mrs. Winnie Holloway, Ms. Susie Woods, Mrs. Carolyn(Eddie) Sampson, and Ms. Mary Louise Jordan, all of Gulfport, MS. Four sons, David Woods, Michael(Violet) Brown, Eddie(Pam) Brown and Dennis(Cathy) Brown, all of Gulfport, MS. Three daughters, Debra(Bruce) Dennis, Janet(Bernard) Jenkins, University Place, WA, Tammy Hart, Atlanta, GA, Latoya(Jay) Young and Damion Brown, 17 grandchildren,10 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. "Granny" or "Aunt Mure" as she is so dearly known was a blessing for many. She never wanted to see anyone go without. She would give her last to help others. Her front door was literally opened for all and you surely felt welcomed to come in. The family has entrusted the care of their loved one to the professional staff of RICHMOND-AUGUST FUNERAL HOME.
