Mildred J. Davis

Mrs. Mildred J. Davis passed away at the age of 98, on Tuesday, June 6, 2023. 

She was a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, where she served as a Deaconess and as a member of the Sunday School Ministry. 

Mrs. Davis is survived by seven children, Zeleder Barnes, Biloxi, MS; Carolyn Cummings, Tallahassee; Knollie (Lueverta) Davis, Houston, TX; George (Dena) Davis, Riverside, CA; Marilyn (Eric) Fournier, Knoxville, TN; Joselyn (Rev. James) Darby, Houston, TX; and Bettye "Nikie" Lindsey of Tallahassee; 23 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and many other relatives and friends. 

Homegoing Service will be 12:00pm (noon) Thursday, June 15, 2023, at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, 224 N. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Tallahassee, FL, with Rev. Dr. R.B. Holmes, JI., officiating. Viewing will be from 10:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at Strong & Jones Funeral Home.

A Wake will be held on Friday, June 16, 2023, from 4:00pm to 6:00pm, at Infinity Funeral Home Chapel; and Graveside Service and Burial will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at the Biloxi City Cemetery, located at 1166 Irish Hill Drive, Biloxi, Mississippi.
