Nikita Darnell Polk-Anderson

Nikita Darnell Polk-Anderson, 44, a resident of Gulfport, MS, passed away February 09, 2018 at St Joseph Hospice from cancer. She was born in Gulfport on June 13, 1973, the daughter of Dewayne and Sarah Polk. Nikki attended Harrison Central and received her High School Diploma and shortly after received her degree of Nursing. Nikita was married to Joe Ellis Anderson, Jr. on March 12, 2010. Nikki spent her working career at Fresenius Kidney Care working in dialysis. Nikita was preceded in death by her father, Dewayne Polk; her mother, Sarah Polk; and her brother, Anthony Polk. Nikki is survived by her husband, Joe Anderson, Jr; her sister, Sonia Polk; her brother, Byron (Danielle) Polk; two daughters, Nija and Najai White; and grandson, Kyrie Dewayne Bolden; god-sister, Yolanda Smith; five nephews, four nieces, and a host of great nieces and nephews; her favorite aunt, Sandra Carter; and her good friend, Toni Davis.
