Pauline (Cannady) Bernabela, 89 of Bay St. Louis, MS, peacefully passed away on January 12, 2023.
Born June 20, 1933 in Griffin GA, Pauline’s family moved to Newark, NJ when she was 10 years of age. In 1994, she came to make Mississippi her home after travelling the world with her daughter Lauren who was enlisted in the Navy.
Pauline dedicated her life to raising her children. She was kind, caring, giving, and always put the needs of her family before her own. Pauline was a strong woman who faced every challenge in her life with courage and dignity. She enjoyed reading a good novel, creating miracles in the kitchen and taking pictures of the many adventures she encountered throughout her life.
Pauline was preceded in death by her parents Albert Cannady, Bernice (Cannady) Addison and her sister Daisy E. Mason.
Pauline is survived by her four children, Darryl T. Bernabela (Barbara) of Norfolk, VA, Lawrence Bernabela (Robin) of Newport News, VA, Lauren A. Bernabela-Turman (Greg) of Bay St. Louis, MS, Robin L. Hardwick (Terrence) of Ocean Springs, MS; four granddaughters, Stacey L. Kimbrough, Shana K. Bernabela, Shaniqwa K. Bernabela, Shyla K. Bernabela; three great grandchildren, Rosaria A. Bernabela, Jalonni Blackshear, Malachi Blackshear; her sister Wanda Addison of Newark, NJ; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends.
"Momma, you will always be in our hearts. You were the source of inspiration to us all and will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives you touched. We will never forget you. We Love You So Much. Rest in Paradise."
A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Monday, January 30, 2023 at Infinity Funeral Home in Biloxi, MS.
