Rhoda McIntosh

Rhoda Dean McIntosh, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and pillar of her community, passed away on October 1, 2023, at her residence in Long Beach, Mississippi. She was born on June 4, 1951, in Tylertown, Mississippi. Rhoda was known for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering support for those around her.

Rhoda was the daughter of Esther Jefferson. She was raised alongside three brothers, who have preceded her in death: Ira D Jefferson, Dennis Jefferson, and Miesha Jefferson. They shared a special bond as siblings and created lasting memories together.

Throughout her life, Rhoda dedicated herself to serving her community. While not employed in a traditional sense, she became a pillar in the lives of those around her. Her bright personality and comforting presence brought joy to everyone she met.

Rhoda's greatest joy came from being a devoted mother to her three children: Keisha McIntosh, Willie McIntosh, and Reginald McIntosh. She loved them unconditionally and always put their needs before her own. Rhoda's selflessness knew no bounds.

As a grandmother to six grandchildren - Shikeitha Quinn, Malcolm McIntosh, Jerod McIntosh, Reginald McIntosh Jr., Kaleb McIntosh, and Kyndal Turbin - Rhoda shared endless love and showered them with affection. She cherished every moment spent with them and took pride in watching them grow into remarkable individuals.

Rhoda's role expanded further as she became a great-grandmother to three wonderful great-grandchildren.

In addition to her immediate family members, Rhoda leaves behind a community that will forever remember the impact she made on their lives. Her kindness and compassion extended beyond her family circle; she touched the hearts of countless friends and neighbors.

As we say goodbye to Rhoda, let us remember the joy she brought into our lives. May her spirit guide and inspire us to be kinder, more loving individuals in honor of her memory.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 13, 2023, at Infinity Church The Apostolic Assembly, at 11:00 am.  Visitation will start at 10:00 am.
