Rhonda Durden

Rhonda Lanora Durden was born October 24, 1960 to the late Dixie Durden and Lucille Durden of Moss Point, MS. Rhonda went home to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, August 10, 2015. Rhonda was a member of Asbury Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church in Pascagoula, MS. She had an unforgettable personality and loved sharing her opinion. Rhonda also had a passion for helping others and playing a game or two of BINGO. She served as president of the Ladies Auxiliary to the VFW Posts 10024 and 3373 for several years. She also served as president of the Moss Point High School Band Booster Club from 2010 � 2012. Rhonda was preceded in death by her father, Dixie Durden; two brothers: Alfred Durden and Larry Wansley. She leaves to cherish sweet memories her three children: Takelia S. (Joe) Lewis of Moss Point, MS; KaDaryl R. (Jerica) Durden of Moss Point, MS; and Kiara R. Durden of Moss Point, MS; mother, Lucille B. Durden of Moss Point, MS; brothers: Calvin (Wanda) Durden of Prichard, AL; Dennis (Rosolyn) Durden of Cataula, GA; a very devoted brother, Phillip (Pauline) Durden of Gautier, MS; and Alton Durden of Minneapolis, MN; one sister, Susie Burton, of Pascagoula, MS; an uncle, Harry Durden of Pascagoula, MS; an aunt, Patricia Scott of Covington, GA; a god-sister, Christy Robinson; devoted friends: Brandon Sims, Rebecca Lewis, and Mary Johnson, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, godchildren, and friends. Service will be held Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 11:00 AM with visitation an hour before at Asbury Chapel A.M.E. Zion church Pascagoula, MS. For updates, please call (228) 436-6722.
