Some people only walk this earth for a short time. Their departure reminds us that angels are watching over us. Trudy Mekia Boose was born on May 19, 1979, to parents Margaret and Sonny Hands. On February 21, 2021, Trudy rejoined her heavenly family and gained her wings.
Trudy was a native of Gulfport, MS. She attended Long Beach and Gulfport High School. She was a hard-working loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend to many. Trudy had a beautiful spirit. There were never dull moments. She brightened up the room with her presence and touched so many people in some small way throughout her short, but very memorable life. She enjoyed spending time with family and had an outstanding love for animals. Her dream was to be a veterinarian and save all the animals in the world.
Trudy’s children were her heart and joy. There was no denying that her “Man & Juttie” were the people she loved the most. She took pride in being their mom.
She leaves behind her mother and father, Margaret and Sonny Hands, two children Isaiah and E’Justice (Kierra) Boose, four brothers: Donta Boose, Edmund Boose, Mario (Cyra) Boose, Sonny (Tanya) Boose; one sister, Sonya Presley; three grandmothers, one grandfather, extended families (Boose, Dallas, Hands, Presley) and a host of brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. We invite you to keep Trudy alive in your hearts. We were touched by her presence, and we are better because of that.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2021, at 11:00 am, at Greater Love Fellowship Baptist Church in Gulfport. A viewing will start at 10:00 am.
